Shopify is one of the, if not the most, trusted eCommerce platform world. Since launching nearly twenty years ago, it’s made developing an excellent eCommerce store a breeze. You can have a full-functioning online store up and running in a matter of weeks.
Playing host to over 4.2 million active stores, they have helped take some of the globes leading retailers to new heights. Almost every sector makes up a slice of the Shopify pie.
Today I’ll be sharing the Shopify stores to look at in 2023 with the hope it inspires you to kickstart your own.
GymShark
Estimated Revenue: £458 million
Founded in 2012, Gymshark originated from founder Ben Francis selling workout sewn and printed by himself alongside a team of friends. Today, it’s a key figure in the fitness clothing industry and is one of the most successful stores in Shopfiy’s history.
The key component of the success of the brand is that it tapped into the influencer marketing model right from the beginning. They have invested in building a large social media presence, partnering with some of the biggest influencers in the UK and across the globe.
Kylie Cosmetics
Estimated Revenue: £166+ million
She’s just one-sixth of the most famous family in the world, but Kylie Jenner has solidified herself as a key player in the beauty industry with the launch of Kylie Cosmetics.
Selling makeup, skincare and baby products, this Shopify store example showcases Kylie herself at the core of her online campaigns, which is a key component in such an influencer led-business. Kylie herself also has 379+ million Instagram followers, whilst the brand has 25.8+ million.
The evidence of Kylie Cosmetics being one of the most successful Shopify stores is the social results. Looking at the page for the Kylie Matte Lip Kit you can read the results customers have achieved using the products, e.g “98% agreed the formula is highly pigmented”.
PRESS Healthfoods
Estimated Revenue: £4.1 million
The founders of PRESS Healthfoods, Georgie and Ed say they are working on their mission of becoming the biggest health food brand in the world.
Their Shopify store sells juices, health bundles, and other healthy products made from ingredients supplied by G.A.P-certified farms. PRESS is already a proud global partner of the Soho House group but it’s their online platform that’s helping them achieve global domination.
Their homepage sees CTAs scattered throughout accompanied by client testimonials and insightful product benefits for converting visitors to customers. It’s definitely one of the best Shopify site examples when it comes to conversion optimisation.
Emma Bridgewater
Estimated revenue: £25+ million
This beloved Shopify store is renowned as the “home of British pottery”. Its colourful concept looks like something from a home interior magazine. Despite being founded almost forty years ago, this British brand fuses together modern and classic designs to give new meaning to everyday kitchen china.
Emma Bridgewater remains a popular destination for shoppers seeking unique gifts and home inspiration. Personalised items, colourful product imagery and a homely feel make the Shopify site a joy to browse.
